Brake pad is vital in brake system, and the quality of whole system is decided by it. In most maintenance manual, it says you should change it every 3,000 km. In fact there is difference due to different driving conditions and personal driving habits. When should you change the brake pad?

1. Check the thickness of brake pad.

 The thickness of every brake pad is different, but when the thickness become less the 3mm or reaches bottom of slot, basically you should change the brake pad immediately. Also you can use the brake pad ruler to measure the actual thickness of friction block.
